~5 years old.  Not good with kids, dogs, or cats.

Grady is a 5 year old neutered male/ housebroken. He was born in NC and I have had him in my home since he was 8 weeks old. He is AKC certified and all documentation of lineage.

From the beginning, he was house trained and was an indoor dog, although he does enjoy being outside. As a small puppy, he was crate trained but no longer needs to be in a crate when owner is not home. He wanders freely around the house. He has never destroyed or chewed up anything and tends to do better when able to "protect" the entire home.

He is up to date on all of his shots and is microchipped. He was neutered at 9 months of age when the vet believed he had reached his mature growth. He has no noted health problems. He is great health and has never had any issues with it. We are current on all vaccines and had a general health check up last year when we started him on Trifexis for flea and tick preventative treatment. I have all vet records from 10 weeks till now. He is on no other medications.

I have attended 2 agility classes with Grady as a young dog and he passed both successfully. He is a very smart and energetic dog.

As a puppy, he did enjoy going to dog parks but as an older dog he no longer likes to be around other dogs freely roaming. So I no longer socialize him with other dogs in that setting. When walking on a leash he does not bark or pull/showing any form of aggression towards other people or dogs when he feels safe.

I would highly suggest that he is placed if possible in as an ONLY dog in the household. I have never had him in a setting with cats but I am sure he would not get along with them and may chase them. I have a 9 month old baby and Grady shows no form of aggression towards her and does come to lick her and will lay on the floor next to her. He is large so he does tend to knock her down if he is walking as any dog would. However, I DO NOT recommend a home with small children.

He would do best with a large yard to run and play. I would love to find him a forever home and family as we can no longer take care of him the way we have in the past due to our two small children and lack of a fenced yard. Thank you for your interest!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS.
