COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~ 4 years old. Good with kids and cats. Not good with dogs. Date Posted: 6/27/2015 We have Greta, she just turned GSD 4yr old AKC, 68lbs big boned long hair female. She is perfect in everyway, other than other dogs. She is great with other dogs as long as she is under supervision, but will only be homed where she will be the sole dog of the house. Loves all people, never met a stranger. She can be along side other dogs supervised. However she wasn't properly socialized as a puppy with other dogs. She is crate aggressive when other dogs approach her, however she is 100% fine going up to other dogs that are crated. She has been professionally trained for "On and Off Leash" and does super with either prong with lead pressure, awesome on a lead. She is also been trained with an e-collar, and does perfect on very low stimulation similar to leash pressure if need be. Not only does she know all her basic obedience, she is 100% trustworthy left inside the home all day, no supervision needed, she will not get into anything. As a matter of fact she has always been an inside dog. She could have been named "Shadow" she love to keep you in sight and if you wish she will snuggle with you in a heartbeat. She loves to play fetch and tug anytime you are up for it, but is just as happy laying around the house all day long. We have personally been fostering her for 2.5 months now, her family surrendered her only because the husband and wife and both MDs and their schedules will not allow them to give Greta enough attention and their children all now all headed off to college. We'd have a ton of interested in Greta but mostly way out of state and we really want to not ship her away and always worry where she ended up. Others already had unstable dogs and it just wouldn't be good for anyone there. Other had a cat that hated Greta, which is to bad because Greta lived with the family cat and did great. Older just re tired couple seemed perfect and have an awesome interview, greet and meet with Greta, but wanted to live her outside for long periods of time, but HOA wouldn't let them put up a kennel and they only had a 3' fence, which wouldn't work if Greta were unsupervised. We have just been unable to find her the perfect home. You can see video of Greta on our facebook page Levers K9 Obedience Training. We love Greta so much, but we have numerous other dogs and we have a deposit down on a new competition dog which will be here soon. That means Greta time here is limited. Hope you can help us.
