Hey there!!! My name is Lucy, and if you are reading this then my beautiful smile and stunning good looks have obviously got your attention. I have a stellar personality as well, and am just an overall great girl!! I am well behaved and anxious to find a family who will love me as much as I will love them. My typing skills are not the best (no thumbs!), so I will let my foster mom tell you a little more about me!! Hope to see you soon!
******************************************************** Drum roll please!!! Miss Lucy (formerly known as Veera) is available!!! Sweet and very pretty redhead in search of a forever family!! Little Lucy had a fairly rough start to her life. She was rescued from a neglectful situation by a kind lady. This individual got her vetted, had her HW treated, and got her healthy, but due to life circumstances was unable to keep her. She reached out to GSRA for help, as she wanted to be sure that Lucy got a fabulous home.
Lucy is a strikingly beautiful black/red shepherd who is about 2.5 years old. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl. It takes a little while for her to trust people. She is just a bit shy and reserved sometimes, but once she gets to know you she is just an absolute delight. Once she bonds with you, she is very loving and devoted. Lucy is fairly gentle, and absolutely LOVES belly rubs!! She has a very shiny coat, and very gentle and expressive eyes. Lucy is a nimble and athletic girl, and loves to play catch with the tennis ball. She even brings it back to you most of the time which is an added bonus!! Lucy loves to run and play in the yard, and likes to play tag with you. Lucy would love to be your companion and accompany you on your daily run if you are a jogger! Lucy does very well in the house. She is able to drop back down to first gear and is very calm and well behaved. She has not exhibited any destructive tendencies, nor has she shown any tendencies t o bark very much. Lucy does love to curl up on the couch for a nap while you are watching TV. Lucy is very attentive and eager to please. She takes treats gently. Lucy is housebroken and crate trained. She does not destroy her toys in the crate either.
Lucy seems to do well with other large dogs, but she can be a bit "over-enthusiastic" when playing. She likes to play chase and wrestle, so would do best with a doggie friend who is agreeable to a rambunctious playmate. I do think Lucy would be fine as an only dog as well. Lucy is a bit too rough with small dogs per prior owner, so no little dogs please. The prior owner also indicated that Lucy is very nervous around toddlers as well, probably due to their sudden unpredictable movements. Lucy will be best suited for a family with children at least 10 years old.
It is all peace, love, and happiness with Miss Lucy!! If you are ready for a fabulous redhead for your new family member, please come and meet Miss Lucy soon!
