Update 10/27/12

Keiffer is almost 6 months now and has developed into a happy go lucky puppy that will make a wonderful family dog. Keiffer is house trained, loves to run, play and tag along with older considerate children. Be aware that if you bend over to tie a shoe out of nowhere this boy will appear and kiss you. He loves to be with the family and has come such a long way from that shy pup that entered his foster home.

Keiffer still remains cautious in some new circumstances but loves to meet new people and plays well with other dogs. Keiffer will make you laugh with his antics and will continue to need to be socialized and be exposed to new experiences.

9/8/12

Introducing Keiffer, a sweet little guy, pulled from the Brunswick shelter along with his brother and sister. Since arriving at his foster home he has learned how to play with his older foster brother and loves to play “hide and seek” in the garden.

Keiffer is a quiet pup who sleeps through the night, plays with his toys and always wants to be with his family pack. Keiffer is getting used to his crate and is learning to walk on his leash. Keiffer is not totally house trained, but runs to the door when he wants to go into the yard.   He can be timid in new circumstances, but is curious and has made great progress over the last weeks. Keiffer is still uncomfortable with loud noises, other barking dogs and strangers who enter the home. He takes time warming up to strangers and children. Also, like all pups. Keiffer loves to chew but, like a good boy, does all his chewing on his toys.

Keiffer is looking for a forever home that will understand his naturally timid ways and gently guide him through new experiences while building confidence. He will need socialization and walks around the neighborhood. Keiffer would do best in a quiet home or a family with older children. Another dog in the home to play with would ease his transition. Keiffer will bond very quickly and will want nothing more than to be by the side of his new owner.
