Update - 8/14/11

Tihannah continues to thrive in her foster home, but is still looking for her forever home. She now has a nice glossy coat, and has gotten more muscular from regular exercise. Tihannah will need a home without cats. She thinks they are quick moving toys. She might be able to be trained out of this behavior with a patient owner, but it would probably be best the find a home without feline companions. Tihannah is till a bit shy around new people. She is very smart, and once she trust you, she will eagerly run over as soon as you call her. She loves to play with other dogs. Tihannah can play a bit rough, but has not hown any aggression. She just really loves to run and play, and is extremely fast and athletic.

This striking young girl is Tihannah (pronounced Tea-hanna), a new addition to GSRA. Tihannah is a young petite female. She is about 1-1.5 yrs old, and weighs about 55 pounds. She is a funny and energetic little dog. Tihannah was pulled out of a high kill shelter a couple of months ago, and was extremely skinny and shy. As you can see from her pictures, she has filled out nicely. Tihannah has been spayed and is HW negative.

Tihannah is a little shy when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly. Once she gets to know you, she is a little velcro dog. She adores attention and interaction. One of her nicknames is "Slurpee", as she loves to give kisses and lick you...hands, arms, legs, doesn't matter...she is a very affectionate dog. Tihannah is very enthusiastic, and does like to jump up on you for attention as well...we are working on overcoming this excited reaction, and learning that you can get just as much attention if you keep all 4 paws on the floor.

Tihannah loves to run and play with the other dogs. She is fast as a whip, and quite energetic. With her age and activity level, a fenced yard is a must for this girl. Tihannah is quite entertaining as well...she runs quickly, but will also go into a leaping and bouncing mode, and can change directions in mid leap. It is like watching a 50 pound tree frog. She is a very happy girl, with a great zest for life. She gets along great with the resident dogs, although she can be a bit rough when playing. Tihannah has been tested with cats, and although she seems to have an interest in them, she is not aggressive, and can easily be corrected and distracted from them.

Tihannah is housebroken, crate trained, and rides well in a car. Tihannah is just the sweetest dog, and is coming out of her shell nicely. She has discovered that people are nice, and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. Come out and meet Tihannah soon, she won't last long.
