(4 months old) Good with kids and dogs, and cats.  Crate trained and house broken.

Hi!  My name is Benny, and I am one of the new puppy additions to the GSRA.  I am a bi-colored GSD mix, and I am the tender age of 4 months.  I was found as a stray, so my story is really not known.  The GSRA came in to the shelter and rescued me, so here I am world!  I am an energetic pup, and I will need guidance and structure since I am so young.  I know how to sit and leave it already since entering my foster home, come about 50% of the time, and I learned the doggy doors all by myself the second day in my home!   I am crate trained and house broken, ride well in a car, walk pretty well on a leash, and sit before I go out on my walks or get my food.  I love to play with my other GSD foster siblings, and they are teaching me boundaries on how to interact with older GSD's.  See, I am so young that I just don't know, so every now and then, they "tell" me when I have over steped my boundaries.  I learn fast, so all I need is time and patience, both from my doggy buddies and owners.  I get along well with people and children too, but since I am so young, I cannot go to a home with children under 8 (GSRA policy).  Mom says that I tested good with cats, even though the rescues dog savvy cat smacked me around a couple of times, I just backed away and decided that a cat is better left alone.  I may want to play with one if I do not have a dog buddy, but I will mean it no harm.  I still like to mouth at times, even though my mom says that she is pleasantly surprised at how little I do it. This is typical puppy behavior and can be corrected.   I will need stimulation and activity to keep me occupied, and an obedience class to help me bond with my owners and learn discipline. I do love to steal shoes, so you will probably want to put them in your closet, or I will consider them mine!  I do not damage them, just hoard them.  I love to take my toys outside through the doggy door!  I would do best with another young doggy buddy to show me the ropes and share my life with so that I can continue to be socialized with other dogs. A fenced in yard is what I need so I can run and play, play, play.  Did I mention that I like to play?  I am up to date on all my shots, neutered, microchipped, and in great health.  I am a wonderful natured puppy who my mom says has great potential to become a stellar  dog. Time and consistency are all I need, besides a loving and patient home of course!!  Come on, I know you just can't resist my cute face!!!
