(3 yrs old) Good with dogs. Great with kids and doing very well with cats
I'm pleased to introduce Satchel a gentle giant if there ever was one. He greets you with big doggy kisses and tail wagging. He was dropped off at a high kill shelter and GSRA was lucky enough to get him. I don't think there is a mean bone in him. He's a big boy that loves to hang out, give kisses and be loved on. He is a medium to low energy dog but does like to chase balls. I have no idea what his past is but someone took very good care of him. He is very social but needs to be watched in a home with cats. I don't think he would mean to hurt them but when they move it's just more than he can stand..the chase is on. However he is getting better with cats. Satchel is one very sweet special dog.
OK Mom its my turn Hi! I have landed myself in heaven! I don't know what I did wrong to end up in that scary kill shelter but I'm sure glad GSRA found me. I'm very quiet in the house and don't have to be crated..something about not having a crate big enough? I have great house manners and I'm learning that cats are a no no. Mom is working with me on that and I'm getting much better. I love walking on leash my mom says I don't pull at all. I know several commands..sit, stay, down (I'll even roll over for a belly rub) and shake. Everybody says I'm a BIG love bug. All I know is life is great now and I enjoy showing everyone how happy I am.
I am heart worm positive but that's no a big deal. GSRA will have me treated and then I'll be better than ever.
