German Shepherd Dog / Norwegian Elkhound / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male (neutered)
(1 year old) Good with dogs, large and small, kids, not good with cats Are you looking for a smaller dog? And one that is as sweet as can be? And past the early puppy stage? And who’s worst issue is shredding newspapers when I forget & leave them on the floor? Then meet Boris. He was pulled from a shelter in South Carolina the day before Thanksgiving. We don’t know about his life before then, but based on his good behavior since then, we can only assume that he was well taken care of and well-trained. Boris is absolutely wonderful. He gets along great with my three big female GSDs. He loves to run around the backyard and find toys & chewies to play with. And when he gets tired, he likes to come inside, lay on the couch & sleep. Boris is a very low maintenance kind of guy. Boris is about one year old. And we think he is part Norwegian Elkhound. Therefore he probably won’t get much bigger than 50 pounds. Boris has the typical GSD traits, namely intelligence & outstanding personality. He also has the following Norwegian Elkhound attributes: dark-brown eyes, tail set high tightly curled over the back, a double-coat that is thick & hard, & the coat is gray with black tips & a lighter undercoat. A Norwegian Elkhound is typically, alert, bold, loyal & friendly. Boris fits this description to a T. Boris does OK on a leash, but could use some additional training to learn to heel. Boris is house-trained & sleeps in his crate at night. I have not heard Boris bark yet, except when he’s playing with my girls.
