Bear is a sometimes shy, very affectionate, protective, loyal, goofy pup. He loves people and loves to play (has a lot of energy). Loves howling at the firetrucks when they go by. He is leash reactive but is not dog aggressive. We take him doggy daycare (Pet Wagon) every week and they always say he's great. He is indoor/crate trained/potty trained/has gone to obedience classes knows sit/stay/leave it. No food aggression and can be handled for brushing and nail filing (doesn't love it but does well giving treats). Should be placed in home with no children under 13 since he is still very much a puppy and can see them as playmates (gets overstimulated). He has no health issues and is fed about 3x a day. I think he would do great with a dog sibling who can help tire him out, help him gain confidence, and bond with (my family only has male dogs and he seems to do really well with them). He is an indoor dog but would need a large fenced in yard to play in. Not scared of loud noises or issues with cyclist/skateboarders. Loves car rides and does very well in the car. He is so loved by our family and I will do a thorough check of whoever adopts him to make sure they are the right fit. He is beautiful black long haired german shepherd very much has lots of characteristics of the breed. He will be fixed by the end of August and will not rehome him until after that.
His perfect home: -has a happy go lucky dog sibling -no children under 13 -experience with German Shepherds -large fenced in backyard -active couple or family with teen children PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG. More about Bear (CL)Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
