Meet GSRA's newest hunk, Mocha! Mocha is 6.5YO black & liver bi-color working line European German Shepherd. Are you looking for a dog that truly values every waking second with you? Mocha is your guy. He may have lived his past life as an outdoor dog, but he is more than ready to be a part of a REAL family. Mocha's foster family describes him as an incredibly grateful soul- every interaction is welcomed with so much enthusiasm and love.
To no surprise, Mocha is a certified ball dog! With medium energy - Mocha will enjoy about 30 minutes of play time before he is ready to take a rest and chew on his bone. Mocha is still getting used to all of the dimensions of a home- there is so much to explore! His foster family is confident that he will be fully comfortable inside the home in no time. He spends most of his mornings with his foster mom in her office working away! Mocha is fully crate trained- not even a peep! Also leash trained with no reactivity to dogs or humans- yipee.
Mocha is not the warm and fluffy type with strangers, but he will allow them to greet and pet with ease. Don’t worry- building trust with Mocha is easy- simply chuck the ball a couple of times, he’ll accept you as easy as that! Mocha currently lives with two tiny humans - ages 4YO & 17MO. The tiny humans are extremely comforting to Mocha. He follows them around, and seeks their attention! He worries about them when they stray away and will always check to ensure they are safe.
Mocha would prefer to be an only dog, but with slow & proper introduction, will do fine with a non-alpha female. No cats for Mocha, they are a bit too sporadic for him! Mocha will thrive in a home where he feels accepted & loved. A home where he feels wanted like he deserves!
Note: Mocha is HW positive. He will undergo treatment and be medically cleared prior to adoption.
