Hey everyone, my name is Luke and I’m looking for a new family. I’m a 6 year old pup that loves to play. My foster mom says I’m a wonderful loving boy with a calm laid back personality. So I thought I'd tell you a bit about myself and see if you think we might be a good match.  :~)

How are you in the house?   I’m housebroken and I get to free roam the house with my canine sister, Lea, while my family is away.  My foster mom says I do pretty well.  Mind you, you may not want to leave a ham sammich out but I haven’t been destructed at all. Lol  I eat in the kitchen with Lea w/o any issues.  When I first came to GSRA I didn’t eat the best but now, I love to eat and clean my bowl.  I trot happily every time my foster mom heads to the kitchen b/c I think it’s time to eat. lol

How about car rides?   OMG do I ever love to go for car rides.  All you need to do is open the door and in I go.  I don’t get sick and I’m a very good passenger.

How are you with other dogs & cats ?  I enjoy being with my canine sister.  I might be a little shy to begin with but it doesn’t take me long to warm right up.  :~)  I haven’t been around any small dogs or cats with my foster mom so that will need to be determine.

Do you like to play?   Boy howdy do me ever.  Check out my videos with Lea.  I love playing with her.  I enjoy playing with toys but my foster mom says I do like to unstuff the stuffed ones.  I thought that’s what they were for. lol  I also enjoy a good game of fetch.  I may not be the best at bringing it back all the time but I’m more encouraged to do that if you have another ball ready to throw. lol

Do I like to snuggle?   All you need to do is say I can get on the couch with you and I can show you what a snuggle bug I can be.  I love to cuddle up to my foster mom and dad.  I love attention but I try not to be too pushy about it. I also love being with you so I will follow you everywhere.

Do you enjoy walks?  Well as a matter of fact, I really do. I get so excited when I know we are getting ready to go for a walk.   I walk pretty well on a leash too; if I do say so myself (of course my foster mom agrees).  
How are you with kids?   Well I have to be honest, they do make me nervous.  You see, my life before, I lived in a pen and the neighbor kids would tease me and throw things at me when my owner was gone. So my foster mom feels it best that I don’t go in a home with small kids.  We think that older considerate kids would be okay.  

Well I guess I’ll turn it over to my foster mom. It’s time for a little nap and then out to play.

Foster Mom - Luke is a wonderful boy.  He loves to play but is happy to hang around in the house with you.  He would do well in a home that loves to go for walks and car rides. He loves playing so he will need a family that has a playful dog so they could run and play. A fence yard would be awesome.

PLEASE NOTE: Luke will not be placed in a new home until his HW treatment is complete.  So any potential family must be willing to wait!
