Luna is a beautiful GSD (about 65 pounds) who needs an owner who can be at home more consistently during the day than we have been able to be. She is an absolutely lovely dog when she has her family all present and accounted for, but seems to have some separation anxiety and shows it by chewing. She will not tolerate a crate. Luna has been diagnosed with EPI (exocrine Pancreatic insufficiency), which basically means that she needs to have a powdered enzyme added to her food at each meal in order to help her to digest it properly. She is currently at a healthy weight and is flourishing with her current “EnzymeDiane” Pancreatic enzymes. Please connect with me if you feel you can give Luna a good home. I’ll have several questions for you. I hope I’ve been clear on her struggles... she has been very well cared for and has all her shots and has no health issues except the EPI. She does well with our older children but needs a bit of training before being in a home with young children — she doesn’t seem to know her size and when she first meets anyone, she’ll jump up. This can be very scary for a young child. She also thinks our other older dog is her own personal sheep, and feels like she needs to be herding him all of the time — it can be amusing, but also very frustrating, as he is super passive. She is super friendly, but is also reasonably protective and incredibly aware. We truly do love her but feel like she would be a lot happier in a different home than ours.
