German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (not spayed, but will be before adoption) : : Baby : : Large
IZZY ~12 weeks old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD. Needs a companion animal. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only Hi my name is Izzy, my foster mom calls me busy Izzy, that's because I am always on the go. There is so much to see that I can't keep still for even one minute. I love to show the big dogs that I can run and wrestle just like them and when they start to get too rough I find a corner to hide in where they cannot reach me. It is so fun watching them get mad because they are too big for my hiding places. From Izzy's Foster Mom: Izzy is a sassy, very energetic girl. You will always find her right by your feet or hanging out with the big dogs. She is completely fearless and will throw herself into what ever wrestling match is taking place. Izzy is very smart and super food motivated. She knows how to sit on command and wait to come in the house. She is learning how to walk on leash and is almost house trained. She always goes to the bathroom every time she goes outside. Izzy is somewhat vocal and will bark at neighbor dogs if they come to the fence. She is somewhat reactive to dogs on walks which we are now working on since she has had her booster shots. Izzy needs a playful companion in her forever home and an active family. Izzy sleeps in a closed room with her brother at night and sleeps through the night with a potty break or two but goes right back to sleep when she comes in. Izzy is young enough to be trained to live with cats. This little girls antics are a constant source of entertainment and she is sure to bring a lot of joy to her forever family. Please note: Izzy will not be placed in a home until at least 16 weeks of age. It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year old to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
