BUDDY ~1.5 years old. Good with kids, dogs, and cats.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Hi there! I got to come into GSRA after I had been found on the road as a stray. Everyone thinks I am so handsome and beautiful that my foster Mom thought the name Beau was appropriate. I wasn't as crazy about that name though so I choose the name Buddy. My foster Mom & Dad think that Buddy is a very appropriate name for me since I have never met a stranger!
All I want is a pack of my own! Right now I have two foster brothers, one is a large senior GSD that I get to play with, and my other foster brother is a cat that won't play with me. I also have a foster sister that is a little kitty that shows me love and sometimes rubs up against me. My foster Mom can tell you a bit more though.

Buddy is playful and friendly and really enjoys being with his entire pack. He does have more energy than his foster GSD brother, but just needs a couple of walks to get some of that energy out of his system. He is house and crate trained, however we only crate Buddy at night. The crate is in our bedroom and Buddy doesn't make a sound until it's time to get up and I open the crate for him. Buddy does well with a morning walk to use up some of his morning energy and then he is happy to relax with his people and foster fur siblings.
Buddy needs moderate activity such as 1 - 2 walks a day (morning and evening) or just some time playing in the yard. The walks don't need to be long, just time with his pack to get out and do something. Buddy does do well on a leash, but needs some more manners before taking him to dine with you outside at a restaurant. He needs to have chew toys available so he won't be looking for something he should not be chewing. Buddy will be a wonderful member of any family that is willing to put in some time with obedience training and helping him gain confidence that he is a permanent member of the family.
