~10 years old.   Good with kids, dogs and cats.  Hypoallergenic.

Maxine is a senior who is young at heart. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met! She loves loves loves kids and cats. Maxine used to sleep with a cat and now wants one of my cats to do the same, but they have told her no! Maxine wants everyone to be her friend. She will come up to you and use her nose to let you know it is time to pet her. Maxine gets along with both of my dogs and she has gotten Savannah to sleep with her instead of the cats. Maxine had a ruptured disk that was surgically repaired 3 years ago,  she made an excellent recovery, but sometimes her back legs can get a little wobbly. She doesn't let that slow her down! Maxine even runs around with Savannah and Moose. She is not as fast but does her best to keep up. Maxine also loves playing with a tennis ball and will chase it around. The vet said that except for her back she is in great shape for her age, but we feel a home with few stairs would be best. If you are looking for someone low key to hang out with then Maxine is your girl. She will lie on the floor in whatever room you are in just to be near you. She doesn't bark a lot. The only thing she has barked at was the snow. Maxine gets along with everyone and every animal. She will look at you with those big brown eyes and say love me and pet me and I will be yours forever!

What do you say?  Do you have room in your heart and home for Maxine?
